Here's some of the activities to enjoy in High Island and the Bolivar Peninsula for visitors and locals of all ages.

Camping

Park your RV, rent one of ours, or pitch a tent near our gazebo area to enjoy the outdoors and fall asleep watching the stars.

Shell Hunting

Unlike the beaches in Crystal Beach, High Island's beaches are full of seashells and perfect anyone looking to avoid large crowds while finding interesting ocean artifacts.

Crystal Beach

Located ~15 min west of High Island, Crystal Beach is known for its beaches with vehicle access and its local restaurants and bars.

Fishing

High Island is great for fishing seaside. Wade out or cast directly from the beach, either way you're guaranteed to catch the big ones.

Birders

This Bird Watcher's paradise is ready to accommodate you.

Bird Watching

High Island is a Bird Watcher's paradise. Visit any of the 4 bird sanctuaries within 1 mile of High Island RV Park to see some of the worlds rarest birds before they travel north.

Barbecuing

After a long day of enjoying all the Bolivar Peninsula has to offer, return to High Island RV Park and enjoy a barbeque with friends, family or other park guests.

Wildlife Reserve

Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge is 19 min away, and is a great place to visit if you want to see lots of animals in the wild...and alligators!

Hiking

High Island is home to some very extensive hiking trails with plenty of nature to see along the way.
